CAD/PLM Project Manager
Responsibilities/Description:
Position Scope:
The Systems Manager- CAD/PLM provides on-site implementation and administration support for Group CAD/CAM/CAE and PDM/PLM (Product Data Management/Product Lifecycle Management) software systems. This role creates and executes technical specifications, while interpreting and developing business processes and methods, such as the NX/Unigraphics design system procedures, workflow and release procedures. This position will be based in Dongguan, PRC with some travel to Hong Kong.

Position Responsibilities:
- Maintain CAD/CAM/CAE and PDM/PLM (Product Data Management/Product Lifecycle Management) software, including upgrades, enhancements, new release and customization testing.
- Develop programs to maintain and monitor software utilization and data integrity.
- Coordinate with Information Technology department and software vendors.
- Provide technical solutions to users over the phone and in face-to-face settings.
- Identify, report, and follow-up problems with vendor software.
- Maintain problem resolution knowledge database.
- Train users on processes and best practices.
- Develop processes to support users and applications.
- Provide documentation.
- Develop and maintain user, system and program documentation.
- Recommend and justify disaster recovery hardware and software.
- Participate as team member in execution of engineering-related IT development projects.
Job Specific Responsibilities/Qualifications:
Position Qualifications:
Mandatory:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- A minimum 5 years of CAD/CAM, PDM/PLM.
- Familiarity with best practices in engineering change management.
- The willingness and ability to travel in order to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
- Systems experience with Windows, Linux and/or UNIX.
- Database programming experience, including data creation, population and manipulation.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Manager.
- Working knowledge of SHELL scripting and PERL.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin.
Can read and type simplified Chinese.
Helpful:
- Experience with Oracle applications ERP.
- Experience with PTC Pro/Engineer.
- Experience with Oracle development tools or Java.
- Experience with programming in NX and Team center environments.
- Fluent Cantonese a plus.
